Drawing upon more than 30 years of professional experience, Dr. Miller serves as the president of a consultancy that provides assistance in financial and educational matters. As a widely regarded expert in information and referral systems, Dr. Miller prepares taxes as a listed private tax consultant. He also handles individual tax returns for nonprofit organizations that require assistance with reinstatement for federal tax-exempt status, which would allow donors to contribute to them.
As the president of the consultancy, Dr. Miller also reports to schools and after-school programs to aid students in improving their scores on standardized tests. Since founding the consultancy, Dr. Miller has been hired by national and regional institutions, schools and universities for consulting purposes, and he remains available for additional consulting projects.
Prior to entering a career in financial consulting, Dr. Miller received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at Indiana University in 1970. He went on to complete a Master of City Planning at The Ohio State University in 1972 and a Master of Public Policy Studies at the University of Michigan in 1978. He received a PhD in Public Administration from New York University in 1990, as well as a Master of Arts in teaching from Lindenwood University in 2007.
Dr. Miller is a certified teacher in Missouri with a distinct focus on kindergarten through 12th-grade vocal music, as well as ninth through 12th-grade social science. He maintains active involvement with a wide range of educational organizations, including the children’s policy forum website for Vision for Children at Risk. In addition, Dr. Miller serves as an advisory board member with the Walbridge Elementary School, as well as a treasurer for the Lilian Circle Neighborhood Development Association.
Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Miller has written approximately 40 publications and has conducted more than 35 presentations. He was instrumental in creating and operating the New York City Regional Center for Life-Long Learning between 1972 and 1976. Dr. Miller later helped construct and edit a student financial aid directory, which sold 110,000 copies. In addition, he has completed 19-page curricula and was recruited by the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems.
